Levamisole 200 g/L
- Low volume pour-on worm drench for cattle containing Levamisole
- Ideal to use in conjunction with a mectin type drench to ensure that worm resistance is not building in the herd.
- Any worm slipping past the ‘mectin is knocked off by the levamisole.
Benefits of a Combination Drench
- Prolong the life of your ‘mectin drenches by slowing down development of resistance.
- Supplement your worm control program when using ‘mectin products to control other parasites, e.g. Cattle Ticks and Lice.
- Weaner cattle do really well with a dose of Levamisole to clear up Cooperia which affects them more so than mature cattle.
Why not just use Levamisole by itself?
While Levamisole is a great drench with a broad efficacy, it is not effective against inhibited stages of Ostertagia. If left untreated, inhibited Ostertagia may emerge from dormancy all at once and obliterate the gut wall, resulting in a condition knows as Type II Ostertagiasis.
