Copper – Copper is required for body, bone and wool growth, for pigmentation, for nerve fibres and white blood cell function. Severe production loss can occur in deficient animals.
Cobalt – Cobalt is required by the grazing animal for the synthesis of vitamin B 12. Vitamin B 12 is required by the animal to metabolise energy and amino acids (protein). Ill thrift, poor production and anaemia are seen in deficient animals.
Iodine – Iodine deficiency will cause goitre and poor lambing percentages due to deaths soon after birth. Iodine deficiency is common throughout Australian soils.
Zinc – Zinc is and important component of a large number of enzymes affecting protein synthesis. immunity and skin, hair and hoof health. Each of these trace elements are in a special chelated form which are highly soluble and readily available to the animal compared with other forms of these trace elements.
